Alrighty, so here we are.
We're ready to print the final version of our table!
Just so you have a recap on what we've done so far, we've taken several circles and extruded or piped them to make both the top and the bottom segments of our table, as well as created a custom shape using rhino and imported it into grasshopper for the supports.
Our render went smoothly as could be hoped, having not used grasshopper to this extent before, but I was really happy with the final outcome of the mid century modern look that I was going for!
Unfortunately I forgot to take process photos of the table being printed and my failed attempts, but on our 3rd try we were able to fine tune the printer settings to accommodate the wood PLA that I decided to use for this product!
Over all, I'm very happy with the final product that was achieved with this exercise, and will likely be doing more furniture in the future (hopefully in full scale).
