Parametric Furniture Concept and Preliminary Definition

I'm not going to lie, this one was and is very difficult for me.

To start the understanding of what parametric meant actually clicked with me this week and now I can generally understand what I'm looking to achieve through these creations.

I started this by just drawing an organic shape, nothing special, but as I continued to experiment with lines I started to see a piece of furniture starting to form. 

After the drawing was done I saw that the side supports of the table as well as the rings for the base could have the amount manipulated.

When trying to create this shape, I feel like I got pretty close to the initial design although I wasn't able to get this to be parametric. I definitely like the shape and the design, but the struggle will most likely be the side supports.

This next image is what I ended up with after hours of trial and error in order to create this design.

Obviously I have a long way to go, but I hope with some research and possibly asking my peers, that I will be able to accomplish the creation of my table, and make it an actual object rather than individual pieces.
